CHALLENGE
The UK’s largest grocery retailer required continuous availability and performance between two clusters to guarantee a positive experience for their millions of online shoppers. They required bidirectional replication with different paths replicating in both directions.
SOLUTION
The retailer found the WANdisco LiveData Platform was the only enterprise-grade solution that enabled continuous availability and consistency across their two locations whilst making use of the multiple Membership concept in the LiveData Platform to allow different paths to have different primary sites.
RESULTS
- The former standby cluster is now fully active enabling the retailer to process online orders at both data centers, improving customer experience.
- The retailer can now run real-time data analytics to track customer behavior and anticipate demand at the store level and support eStore customers.
